Stinger GC players host golf clinic in Illinois

Louis Oosthuizen, Dean Burmester, Branden Grace and Charl Schwartzel Give Back to the Chicagoland Community Ahead of This Week’s Tournament

Sugar Grove, IL (September 22, 2023) - Captain Louis Oosthuizen and his Stinger GC teammates stepped away from the golf course on Thursday to host a youth golf clinic at The Learning Center at Fresh Meadow with the Kids Golf Foundation of Illinois. LIV Golf, in partnership with the Kids Golf Foundation, hosted the event that included a golf and life skills clinic led by the Stingers. The event is part of Potential, Unleashed, LIV Golf’s impact and sustainability platform committed to creating significant positive social and environmental change in tournament host communities around the world.

QUOTES FROM THE GOLF CLINIC:

“LIV Golf and Stinger GC are honored to join the Kids Golf Foundation to support kids in the local community and use the game of golf to impact the world for the better,” said Jake Jones, LIV Golf’s Senior Vice President of Impact & Sustainability. “We believe that golf has the ability to enable and inspire a better tomorrow, which is why we created Potential, Unleashed, our groundbreaking new impact and sustainability strategy. Through programs like this, we can work with local organizations to support communities around the world to bring positive change through the game of golf.”

“I’ve got my own golf academy back in South Africa where we go to the grassroots to try and get kids to learn about golf,” said Stinger GC Captain Louis Oosthuizen. “And not just golf, life skills… just getting them to have fun and play golf. You never know, you can find a diamond in the rough and you can find someone that’s naturally talented that can come through and be a star one day. We all have our different charities that we do back in South Africa and help in the U.S. and it’s great that LIV is involved in this.”

“Our now year-long partnership with LIV Golf has allowed us to greatly expand our programs serving kids in this community and communities across Illinois,” said Michala Snyder, Director, Kids Golf Foundation. “Our organization is committed to providing programming to teach kids the fundamentals of golf and life skills that naturally go along with the game and we wouldn’t be able to do it without partners like LIV Golf. Their Potential, Unleashed program provides opportunities for organizations like ours to give back to our local communities and use the game of golf as a force for good.”
