SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – Stinger GC will be looking for a bounce-back performance in Sunday’s final round of LIV Golf Chicago after a disappointing result on Saturday.

The first-round leaders dropped back into a tie for sixth after a counting score of 3 under left them at 16 under through the first two days.

The South African quartet will start the final round six shots off the lead and looking to finish on the podium for the fourth consecutive LIV Golf tournament. The Stingers have finished third in each of the last three tournaments.

Dean Burmester was the Stingers’ top performer Saturday with a 2-under 69 that left him at 6 under for the tournament.

Captain Louis Oosthuizen, the first-round individual co-leader, shot a 1-under 70 and is also at 6 under. He and Burmester are part of a five-way tie for ninth.

Charl Schwartzel and Branden Grace each shot even-par 71s, with Schwartzel’s round officially counting.

Schwartzel is at 4 under and Grace at 2 under on the individual leaderboard.
